Armor and Weapons

Every unit in the game has an armor and a weapon. Each weapon is better or worse versus different armor. This system is in place to encourage unit counters and unit mixing in combat. If the opposing player builds long-range attackers, the natural counter would be to build close-range units, which have an attack bonus against them. However, since long-range attackers have a high damage, you would benefit from building a mixed group of close-range and long-range attackers since your long-range attackers would out-damage the opposing close-range units if they are protected by direct close-range damage themselves.
